A sophomore with determination- Zhenya Jolley. Zhenya Jolley is doing a lot to be involved at Alta High School. First, she runs track; she competes in long distance events. When I asked what her best mile time was she humbly said, “around six minutes”; immediately, I was impressed. Track is a sport that takes a lot of dedication and consistency. Later, I asked her how often she ran in order to stay in shape. She answered with an excited, “everyday”! Zhenya expressed her passion for running throughout the interview; it’s undoubtedly something she is devoted to. I was also curious to know how the track team was during in her opinion, she replied by saying, “Great! Everybody works really hard; really makes track important part of their high school career.”

Not only does Zhenya run but she also does debate. She is “running” for junior class VP for 2013 school year. Be sure to stay updated on the track and field team and watch as they progress throughout the season!
