As a fan of country singer Taylor Swift, I was excited to go to her concert on Wednesday September 28, but I wasn’t expecting such a spectacular show. Her stage was filled with little tricks and many different props that made the night. The first song she played (Sparks Fly) started out with a bang by setting off some fireworks in Energy Solutions Arena. The stage had many trap doors that she would come out of all through the evening.

The show stayed exciting by the enthusiasm in the audience and of her band. For her song Haunted, there were three large bells as props that were hanging from the ceiling. I didn’t necessarily get the point of them until three dancers fell out of the middle of the bells and began to do acrobatics. She ended with her song, Love Story, a fan favorite, as she stood in a balcony-looking prop that would levitate her above the audience and move her around the whole stadium so all of her fans could feel like they were on the front row.

The show was a success, and for all the guys who are still questioning how exaggerated girls’ facebook posts are about the concert, I can at least tell you her concert had no need to be exaggerated because it was simply fantastic and totally worth the cost.

I will definitely be one of the first people to buy tickets for her next Salt Lake City concert.
