Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last decade, you have obviously heard of Apple’s profit reaper, the iPhone. For those of you surface dwellers familiar with the iPhone, the abundance of applications, or apps, has surely intrigued, good or bad. And, despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of these “apps” plague our existence, there are a few elite, vastly popular applications. These apps are.
5) Camera +
What’s that Lassy, Timmy’s stuck in a well? Let’s take a picture and post it to Facebook… Situations like this will only increase with the application Camera+. This App is like having your own little pocket studio, and iPhone owners enjoy this very much. Despite the fact that the built in camera app is one of the nicest phone camera’s available, iPhone users choose to pay for this enhanced picture taking application, usually just take snap and caption pictures of their pets.
4) Angry Birds Seasons
It’s common knowledge that people love being productive, and therefore is no surprise that the 4th most downloaded App is the Angry Birds Seasons. Why should someone write their thesis, study for their BAR exam, or pay attention to another’s conversation when they could be launching cartoon birds out of a slingshot at poorly built wooden structures.
3) Angry Birds
Yes, that’s right, of the few Apps more downloaded than Angry Birds Seasons, one of them is also an Angry Birds game. As I said previously, time is much more well spent defeating little carton pigs by hitting them with suicidal birds than pretty much anything else. I mean, why should I have to do work when I’m at work? Thank you Angry Birds, maybe people won’t spend themselves to debt if they’re too busy blankly staring at their smart phone for hours.
2) Amazing Breaker
For the many who don’t appreciate the tedious nature of the Angry Birds series, Amazing Breaker is clearly not the game for them. For those unfamiliar with this app, just imagine Angry Birds except replace the birds with bombs and the houses with ice sculptures. This is truly another technological masterpiece and, much like Angry Birds, is a much better way to spend your time than on something like homework or friends.
1) Infinity Blade 2
Infinity Blade 2 does not fit the iPhone app stereo type. When searching the app store who will find a constant stream of poorly made arcade games until, that is, you see Infinity Blade 2. This application, developed by Epic Game Studios (Gears of War), is a full blown RPG video game. It involves quests, character creation, and leveling up. Despite my previously satirical views on the iPhone and all of its related products, I would give this game my honest recommendation.
